Charities Regulator Governance Code

The Rise Foundation is fully committed to and actively working towards reporting full compliance with the Charities Governance Code in 2021.

Board of Directors

The RISE Foundation's board of directors comprises passionate and professional members who have a wide variety of skills and experience and are drawn from the business and not for profit sectors. The board members are voluntary and receive no remuneration other than out of pocket and documented expenses. Their role is to govern, guide and support the RISE Foundation.

Danica Murphy - Chairperson

Internationally recognised expert in facilitation, coaching, training design and team development. Institute of Directors Member and Dip IoD recipient. Mentor on the DCU Ryan Academy Propeller C]Venture Accelerator Program and lecturer on the Mastercard StartPath program.

Dermot Tynan - Secretary

Unix and Networking engineer, C programmer, with forays into Ruby and Python. Interested in cloud computing, marine robotics and autonomous systems. Part-time Film-maker and sailor.

Lasairiona Mulligan

Experienced Managing Director with a demonstrated history of working in the financial services industry, Skilled in business development and complex global client relationships across the Global Investment Management and Insurance Industry. Financial Services, ETFs, Capital Markets and Hedge Funds. Strong commercial professional, Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants with a Mater of Business Administration (MBA) focused on Accounting and Finance from Cass Business School (London).

Pat Flanagan

A highly experienced and competent senior manager with over 20 years experience efficiently and effectively delivering high quality products, programmes and services through strategic process and people management.

Alongside this experience is a comprehensive education with a Degree in Engineering, a Diploma in Business Management and a Masters of Business Administration combined with studies in pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing.

Lorraine Doherty

National Clinical Director Health Protection, Ireland since 25 March 2020. Clinical Director Cervical Screening Ireland 2019-2020. Previous Deputy Chief Medical Officer for Public Health and Health Protection, Northern Ireland. Experienced Senior Public Physician and previous Head of the Health Protection Service in Northern Ireland. Demonstrable history of working in the medical practice industry. Skilled in Epidemiology, Vaccines, Prevention, Acute Response to Infectious Disease Threats, Emergency Medicine, and Sexual/Reproductive Health, Disease Prevention. Strong medical professional with a Masters in Public Health focused in Public Health Medicine from University College Dublin, Fellowships of Faculty of Public Health (UK) and Faculty of Public Health Medicine (Ireland). Extensive leadership development and skills.

Brendan Murphy

Executive coach and leadership development specialist. Extensive experience in designing and delivering learning programmes in the voluntary and private sectors. Faculty member of the UCD Smurfit Business School (Executive Coaching). Member of the EMCC and certified in various psychometric and performance management tools.
