The RISE Family Programme is an 8 week education and counselling service for anyone who has been affected by addiction.
The evening starts off with a lecture, followed by group therapy facilitated by two addiction Counsellors.
Group therapy is a forum where approximately 10 to 12 people and 2 counsellors engage in group interaction and discussion for personal growth and development. The group aims to assist one another to become aware of behaviours that need to change. Group members develop interpersonal skills, learning and healing.
One outcome of group therapy is the instillation of hope in oneself and others for change, thus increasing one’s self esteem and self worth.
