Programmes Offered

The RISE Foundation is at present running an 8 week programme to create awareness and educate families with loved ones in addiction. Using a new programme of assessment, education, counselling, peer support and information on intervention.

RISE Foundation counsellors have designed an educative programme to help change the way that addiction is managed in the family system. By connecting with families, by facing the reality of coping with addiction and by addressing the denial that may be present, The RISE Foundation programme gives a ray of hope to the families who are suffering from the disease of addiction.

The Rise foundation is also in the process of setting up a residential treatment centre for Families on Rathlin Island.

This Centre will provide 5 main addiction awareness and education services:

1. Family programme

2. Community education and training programmes

3. Parent awareness and education on addiction

4. The workplace

5. Addiction awareness & education for youths (11 to 14 yrs)

We are also in the process of launching an education and awareness campaign in partnership with the G.A.A.

This will target communities throughout the island and will consist of a high profile team of professionals who will give lectures on the dangers of drug and alcohol misuse.
